Integrating EMDR, ego state therapy, and dissociative table:  A cartooning psychologist's glimpse into the mind's eye

Description

This conference presentation abstract summarizes a workshop that uses original cartoon drawings and metaphors to illustrate the convergence and use of these tools and other insights. Imagery and metaphor are used to convey key educational concepts to clients. Dissociative table imagery are used to achieve early therapeutic goals. Meeting safety milestones to proceed with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for a given dissociative client is addressed.
