A preliminary survey of 1,200 EMDR-trained clinicians

Description

Treatment effects observed consistently in EMDR sessions have resulted in a physiologically-based theory which includes an observed unification of key elements of a diversity of psychological modalities. Observations regarding the development and maintenance of pathology will be discussed as it relates to PTSD, as well as to a variety of other DSM complaints which appear to have traumatic incidents in their root. The results of a survey targeting over 1200 psychotherapists who have been trained in EMDR since 1989 will be discussed, along with latest research results on the use of EMDR with critical incident debriefing.
