In this chapter, the author discusses the Binge Cycle Exercise, an exercise in which clients use their own experiences to make a case against dieting, incorporated in a comprehensive eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) treatment plan for binge eating disorder. Also, the author discusses the first part of this process with a composite client, Ericka, to give you the lay of the land from a client's perspective.
