Schema therapy infused EMDR

Description

How long should a client be in treatment before you begin EMDR processing? How important is it to get that perfect negative and positive cognition? What should you do when a client wants to talk for a long time between sets of eye movements? The answer to these and other crucial, clinical, conundrums is……it depends. It depends on who the client is; what their underlying issues are; and how they try to defend themselves. This workshop is designed to help you recognize and respond to the underlying schemas and maladaptive coping styles that we and our clients have to improve the effectiveness of your EMDR treatment before, during, and after processing.
