Description

This protocol was developed to help clients with childhood-onset complex PTSD who have difficulty moving from the Negative Cognition (NC) to the Positive Cognition (PC) and instead, experience persistent looping. This is most likely to occur with adults repeatedly traumatized within their families of origin and when the target memories are taken from that time and milieu. The target memories may be of major traumas or of the small t or developmentally disruptive type (Kitchur, 2000, 2005).
