Defining new credentialing standards: Current status of the work of the EMDRIA professional development subcommittee

Description

The EMDRIA Professional Development Subcommittee will provide an update on the progress for setting new standards and requirements at the Certification level. The ultimate goal in this multi-step, multi-stage process is to facilitate mastery in conducting EMDR therapy and provide a centralized, consistent system of evaluation that is reliable and valid. An overview or “road map” as to the purpose, use, implementation and positive implications of this process will be reviewed. Future steps in the Subcommittee's work product and process will also be explained. At this stage of development, no EMDRIA policy changes or decisions are proposed.
