Addressing obstacles to resourcing
Clients with attachment disorders or very early abuse or neglect are the ones for whom resourcing is essential, and yet they are also the ones most difficult to resource effectively. If resourcing were to proceed without a setback, the client probably didn’t need it. As therapists, we need to expect barriers to arise in resourcing, and be prepared to address them. Relying heavily on a medley of subtitled and annotated video clips, this presentation will demonstrate nine types of roadblocks that arise to resourcing and some possible solutions to each.
