Efficacy of EMDR as an adjunctive therapy at a community health agency

Description

This session reviews results of a pilot project at a community health agency where EMDR was successfully used as an adjunctive therapy. The Adaptive Information Processing model of EMDR and its relatedness to these results are discussed. Subjects covered include the barriers clients experience in receiving EMDR therapy at community health agencies and ways in which this protocol mitigates these issues and the challenges and strengths of the program design. Participants will practice, role play and discuss the case conceptualization tools used for referral to the program.
