Use of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) in the treatment of panic disorder with agoraphobia

Description

This paper describes the case of at 30-year-old working professional diagnosed with Panic Disorder with Agoraphobia (PDA).  Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) treatment was used to target etiological events that we hypothesized as the roots of the panic and anxiety.  Panic attacks diminished after 17 sessions of treatment.  Treatment gains were maintained 5 years after termination.
