Tactical integration in the conference room: A safe and efficient path to healing structural dissociation with EMDR

Description

The workshop covers six hindrances to using EMDR with dissociative patients and an integrated set of conceptual tools and procedures for solutions. One hindrance example is the tendency to over-access with insufficient skill to express affect. Safe resolutions are arrived at through the understanding of concepts from the structural theory of dissociation of the personality, use of the “conference room tool,” a “tactical integrationist” approach to the introduction and use of EMDR therapy. The workshop will include lecture, case vignettes, role play, and discussion.
